About us
To mark Rouyn-Noranda’s centennial celebrations in 2026, the Societé du 100e was created September 15th, 2021.
Mission
We are a unifying and mobilizing organization whose mission is to bring together the residents of Rouyn-Noranda, past, present and future, to celebrate and tell the story of the city's 100 years of history.
Vision
In 2026, Rouyn-Noranda is blossoming year-round with experiences that showcase its assets to celebrate the past, live the present and weave the city's future. The 100th anniversary festivities mobilize the population, allowing the city to shine as much in the hearts of its citizens as outside the region.

The logo
The two-way reading, which forces you to turn your head to one side, reinforces the idea of a change of perspective; of seeing things from a new angle. The use of the two letters OO, to form the number 100, also works to enrich possible signature variants with combinations of historical connotations and commemorative themes.
The slogan
The city of Rouyn-Noranda is at a pivotal point in its history. The centenary is a great opportunity to look back and appreciate how far we've come, but above all to look forward to the future. Its pioneers and builders have helped shape its history, character and distinctive features. It's now up to new generations to develop it. A major shift is underway on many levels, and the horizon has never been so vast and rich in possibilities.
